BEIJING, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao said on Saturday more meticulous efforts should be made for the success of the imminent Olympic Games.

Hosting a successful Olympics and a Paralympics is now top priority of the country, Hu said at a group study of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, stressing that the country should fulfill its commitments to the world.

He asked related staff and officials to host a sports event that satisfy athletes from both home and abroad and the international community.
